Two More Basic Income Events in November

Two More Basic Income Events in November

There are another two basic income related events being held in Scotland before the month is out. One in Edinburgh, one in Glasgow. Both are free.

Basic Income & Time or Money?

Following on from the CBINS organised, Basic Income & Time or Money? event in Glasgow last week, Edinburgh will next play host to this.

Toby Lloyd will be asking which currency is more valuable to you – time or money?

Toby will invite attendees to reflect upon their own experiences and come to their own conclusions on how a Basic Income might impact their lives. To do this he will ask: What did you want to be when you were growing up? What gets you out of bed in the morning? What would you do if you had a year off?

The event will be at held at 6.30pm – 8.30pm on Wednesday November 27th at Woodland Creatures, 260-262 Leith Walk, Edinburgh EH6 5EL.

You can book your place at this event here.

Basic Income Civic Forum

Next, on Saturday November 30th (St Andrews Day), there will be the Basic Income Civic Forum, Glasgow. This will look to explore how a Basic Income might interact with a range of different policy areas; Health, Civic Involvement, Work and Inequality.

This is an all-day event, starting at 11am, and will have workshops & discussions running through to 4pm at the GalGael Trust, 15 Fairley Street, Glasgow G51 2SN.

Lunch will be provided.

The forum has been organised by Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN) in partnership with RSA Scotland and GalGael Trust.

You can book your place at this event here.

And in case you are wondering, with this latter event venue being on a Saturday and close to Ibrox Stadium, Rangers won’t be playing until the Sunday – at home to Hearts.
